Calliope Wakes is a YA paranormal fantasy read, where the Gods are alive and Calliope wants to know how to stop the nightmares that plague her every night. The author does a great job at building up the paranormal aspect, tying it in with fantasy, and giving characters a great plot to work with. Calliope's character is put through a lot, but she withstands a great deal and takes on the enemies. I loved that this took place in Bellhaven, a small city by Lake Michigan! It was a different setting than I normally read but definitely worth it!
