đĽWhy Choose
Desperation makes warriors of captives.
The Gods split the skies and rained down tyranny upon the mortal realm long ago. Ever since then, the only thing worse than being human is being of Divine Blood.
For someone like meâan undocumented God child, indebted to the Underworld Assassination Guildâthat means only one thing: A life in the shadows.
Or so it should have been ⌠until Mortal Gods Academy. Until them.
The Darkhaven Brothers are truly the worst of all the Godsâ spawn. Arrogant. Wicked. Violent.
To them, Iâm nothing more than a human plaything meant for torment. For me ⌠theyâre the path and the key to my freedom.
But if any of them find out who I am, what I am ⌠even the shadows wonât be able to save me.
Please note this is a DARK Fantasy Romance with themes of a dark nature, death of loved ones, and other various themes that may be triggering. Please check trigger warnings and read responsibly.
REVIEW:
A Sword of Shadow and Deceit is a dark fantasy romance. I recommend that readers check for trigger warnings before reading. This is a why choose and enemies to lovers read, but it was quite an enjoyable read! Without going too much into detail, I will say that I loved the plot of the Mortal Gods Academy and the Darkhaven Brothers, children of the Gods. The main character will take you on an adventure as they keep their identity hidden with a life in the shadows. The romance was well done for a why choose, and I normally don't read them but this was hard to put down!
